Overview of equipment: the system is applicable to the corona aging test of solid insulation materials developed by scientific research units, which can realize different corona test conditions, can conduct corona aging test on 5-channel samples at the same time, and the system can also be used to test the voltage resistance of solid insulation materials to corona discharge.The corona aging phenomenon of HTV silicone rubber under different conditions can be systematically studied.At the same time, the development of the system is expected to provide a standard test platform for domestic research on corona aging resistance of solid insulation materials, and further contribute to the research on corona aging resistance of various solid insulation materials.
Main components: 1) corona generating device, 2) measurement system, 3) protection system, and 4) environmental control and monitoring system.The actual device of the corona resistance aging test system for solid insulation materials is shown in figure 1.
Equipment reference standard: refer to the test standard of ASTM d2275-14, standard for test method of resistance to partial discharge (corona) on the surface of solid electrical insulation materials.

1. Ydt-5/50 type power frequency corona test transformer is adopted. The voltage range is 0 ~ 50KV

Corona (electronic) : the corona is frequently heard in substations and circuits above 110kV. It is known as corona.Corona is a kind of steady discharge in the form of stream, which is peculiar to the inhomogeneous electric field.
Corona hazard: when the local field strength reaches a certain value, the gas will be partially free, and the blue corona will appear at the electric nest, resulting in corona.Corona occurs with the production of heat, ozone, nitrogen oxides, which are extremely harmful to the electrical insulation.In addition, due to poor or unstable contact between the thermosetting insulation surface and the groove wall, spark discharge will be caused by electromagnetic vibration.The partial temperature rise caused by this spark discharge will seriously erode the insulation surface.All this will cause great damage to the electrical insulation.Because corona can produce harm, so scientific research unit adopted a series of experiments to prevent corona from aging, so the ac/dc corona aging tester appeared on the market.
